WrestleMania 35 will reportedly be held in East Rutherford, New Jersey at MetLife Stadium, according to Robbie Fox of BarstoolSports.com. Fox also lists April 7 as the expected date for the 2019 event.

Powell’s POV: A return to New York/New Jersey has been strongly rumored. WWE has yet to officially announce the host city, but there has definitely been a lot of buzz about the company returning to the same venue that hosted WrestleMania 29.

  1. I’m tired of them going to the same locations over and over now. It seems like WWE is set in doing the same 3 or 4 locations over and over for WrestleMania.

    • I wrote a story a year or two ago about that being the idea. Basically, a regular rotation between certain cities. They will always take bids just in case something great comes along and there will certainly be exceptions and perhaps simply additions to the rotation such as when the new stadiums in Los Angeles and Las Vegas open.

  2. Well hopefully they learn their lessons from WM 29, which was a horrible experience for fans.

4 hour queues for the organised buses back to Manhattan on a cold New Jersey night made a mediocre night even worse.

Combine that with the on/off drizzle which was mercifully brief and some poor matches and WM 29 was an instantly forgettable experience for me.

Access was decent, and Raw the next night was a blast DESPITE the product.

The Fandangoing was fun for about 5 minutes.

However, I’ll probably end up going again if it is in NYC.
