Undertaker and his wife Michelle McCool were in Brooklyn, New York during SummerSlam weekend, but never appeared on camera. During his weekly “Dinner With The King” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler noted that he did not see Taker, but offered speculation as to why he may have been there. “I did not see or hear him mentioned at all [backstage at SummerSlam],” Lawler said. “I dress in the talent relations room where at one point or another everybody on the card came through that room and I never saw him.
“But you know what? Here’s something that I just realized. He may have been there because they were doing scans for a new game. Everybody that was on the show that night, myself included, had to be scanned. This company, it’s not the 2K people, it’s a different game that’s gonna be coming out next year. So everybody had to have their face scans and their body scans.” Listen to the podcast at Podavenue.com/king
Powell’s POV: Taker never appeared on camera, but the word was out that he was in town, which led to multiple Undertaker chants at different events. It will be interesting to see what the new game is in that it’s something other than the usual 2K production.
