-It’s a light weekend for live events with WWE holding only two shows prior to an overseas tour that begins next week.

-WWE is in Stockton, California at Stockton Arena on Saturday with the following advertised matches: Dean Ambrose vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship, Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins, New Day vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson for the WWE Tag Team Championship, Rusev vs. Sami Zayn for the U.S. Championship, The Miz vs. Darren Young for the Intercontinental Title, Cesaro vs. Sheamus.

-Ring of Honor’s next event is the Death Before Dishonor XIV pay-per-view, which will be held on August 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada at Sam’s Town Live.
-Evolve’s next dates are August 19 in Joppa, Maryland, and August 20 in Brooklyn, New York.
-PWG’s loaded Battle of Los Angeles tournament will be held September 2-4 in Reseda, California at the American Legion.
Birthdays and Notables
-Stan Lane (a/k/a Wallace Stanfield Lane) is 62. Insert my usual opinion that the Midnight Express belongs in the Hall of Fame. Of course, Lane also teamed with Steve Keirn as the Fabulous Ones.
-Goldie Rogers (a/k/a David Sherwin) was born on August 5, 1950. He died on July 20, 20012 at age 61.
-Ikuto Hidaka is 44 today.
