WWE has announced that there will be one-hour pre and post WWE Draft shows available on WWE Network. The company is also touting a WWE Draft Center Live second screen experience on WWE Network that will air during the draft. Read the official breakdown at WWE.com.
Powell’s POV: The Smackdown Live Pre-Show will be available on all of WWE’s digital platforms, and the Draft Center and post-show will be available exclusively on the network. It will be interesting to see how much they promote the post-show special with USA Network premiering “Shooter” after Smackdown on Tuesday night. I wonder how the network will feel about WWE telling viewers to flip over to WWE Network immediately following Smackdown. That said, it’s cool that WWE is taking these steps to enhance their draft experience.
Update: USA Network announced that they are delaying the premiere of “Shooter” due to recent events.
” I wonder how the network will feel about WWE telling viewers to flip over to WWE Network immediately following Smackdown. ”
Really?? You’re probably the only one who is thinking that.
Well…they tell them on any WWE show to view PPVs and lots of things on the WWE network. Its always competing against something on USA.
This isn’t just some rerun on USA. This was supposed to be the season premiere of a show they intentionally put behind Smackdown so that the show would have a strong lead in. It’s a moot point now that Shooter’s premiere has been pushed back.
