Jon Jones tested positive for the anabolic steroid Turinabol and has been stripped of the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, according to TMZ. The title is being returned to Daniel Cormier, who was beaten by Jones at UFC 214 on July 29. Read more at TMZ.com.

Powell’s POV: So much for the super fight between Jones and Brock Lesnar. If the suspension sticks then Jones could be banned up to four years due to this being his second USADA test failure. Lesnar could obviously return to face another opponent, but it’s hard to imagine it being as lucrative as a fight with Jones would have been.

Update: UFC has confirmed that Jones failed a USADA test. Read their official press release at UFC.com. However, Dana White has stated that Jones has not been stripped of the title and has the right to an appeal.
