The Rock to appear on WWE Friday Night Smackdown

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced that he will appear on this week’s premiere of WWE Friday Night Smackdown on Fox. “FINALLY…I come back home to my @WWE universe,” Rock wrote on Twitter. “This FRIDAY NIGHT, I’ll return for our debut of SMACKDOWN! LIVE on @FOXTV. There’s no greater title than #thepeopleschamp. And there’s no place like home. Tequila on me after the show.”

Powell’s POV: That’s obviously a huge get for WWE and Fox for the premiere of Smackdown on the network. WWE is also bringing in a number of legends for the show to go along with the Kofi Kingston vs. Brock Lensar match for the WWE Championship.
