There’s more to the departure of Kevin Sullivan from Impact Wrestling’s production crew than meets the eye. SEScoops.com report that Impact had been outsourcing their production to Sullivan’s KevinSully TV company, which signed a deal with AEW over the weekend. The report states that Impact officials were blindsided by the news over the weekend and has since signed a Tennessee producer to handle the workload.

Powell’s POV: John Pollock of PostWrestling.com was the first to report that Sullivan had left Impact and noted that several others in his department had also given notice. It’s tough timing for Impact given that their parent company acquired AXS TV and has laid off some of its production staff. Impact officials really shouldn’t feel blindsided by the move despite the report stating that they are, as they were well aware that Sullivan had been working for both companies and did not have an exclusive contract. And to spare me a few email questions, producer Kevin Sullivan and pro wrestler Kevin Sullivan are two different people.
