Impact Wrestling TV Taping
Queens, New York at Melrose Ballroom
Report by Dot Net reader MrEddyG
1. Rich Swann over Willie Mack.
Late in the match, Mack with a Stunner, but Swann gets his foot on the rope. Willie missed a Frog Splash. Swann connected with a thrust kick and nailed a Phoenix Splash from the second rope for the surprising win.
2. The Desi Hit Squad (Gama Singh) beat The Beach Bums. Singh came down before the match to trash New York City before introducing his guys. The fans make a derogatory but funny chant to the Hit Squad (adding a letter to the first word). That was about the main highlight here as the Hit Squad won an uneventful match.
3. Taya Valkyrie beat Tessa Blanchard by DQ in a non-title match. The usual physical you’d expect from these two. Taya with a perfect top rope moonsault for a very close fall. Tessa got herself disqualified for punching the referee, so Taya won by DQ.
4. LAX (w/Konnan) over Ethan Page and Matt Sydal. No idea where Diamanté is these days, I personally miss her. There was no word if this is a title match, but I’m guessing not. LAX won a decent match.
5. Sami Callihan (w/Dave Crist, Jake Crist) beat Trevor Lee. Tthe fans demanded her all night yesterday: Scarlett Boudreaux! She sat on a chair at the top of the ramp. I guess she’s just scouting talent? Sami won with a piledriver. Cage appeared afterward and attacked Dave and Jake. He got OVE’s bag and teased hitting Sami with it, but he just handed it to Sami, who swung at him. Cage ducked and got an F5. Sami rollled out and then he and OVE retreated.
6. Fenix and Pentagon Jr. beat The OGz (w/King). The Lucha Brothers won. I missed a bit of this match.
7. Jordynne Grace over Katarina.
8. Moose beat Eddie Edwards. They ended up fighting on the top of the stage and Alisha Edwards came out to check on her husband. Moose brought Eddie back and hits a discus clothesline to win.
Eli Drake came out in street clothes and was accompanied by Joseph Park. Big ovation for Eli: lots of “Dummy Yeah” and “Eli Drake” chants. Eli ran down the officials in the back and is retiring his open challenges and is filing a lawsuit against Impact management for an unsafe working environment. Joseph agreed that there a case to be made, and there are others who want to join a class action lawsuit. As Park was about to introduce the others, he was attacked from behind from Eli. Drake yelled at Park for his brother putting him through a table and called him an embarrassment, and if he won’t retire or die, Eli will do it for him. Eli beat Park down with a chair; referees attended to Joseph, but Eli returned and choked Joseph with his jacket before finally leaving.
9. Su Yung over Kiera Hogan (w/Alllie). Kiera got the early jump on the ramp as Su was making her entrance. Allie got in Su’s face but Su stared at her and Allie just ran to the back terrified. Su caught Kiera with a big Pedigree from the second rope after Keira tried to get back in the ring, and follows up with The Panic Switch to win.
10. Johnny Impact defeated Killer Kross (w/Moose) to retain the Impact World Championship. Moose ended up being sent to the back early for trying to interfere. Johnny retained with Starship Pain in a very physical match. Kross got a good hand afterwards.

The pathetic fact is Green Acres reruns get better ratings.
