WWE wrestler Maria Kanellis announced via social media that she suffered a broken wrist while training for her return to the ring. She noted that she will be in a cast for six weeks. Follow her online at Twitter.com/MariaLKanellis.
Powell’s POV: Kanellis emphasized that she will be recovered in time for the WWE Evolution pay-per-view on October 28. I can’t help but wonder if WWE officials recognize what they have in Kanellis, who was arguably the best talker during her run with Impact Wrestling. Granted, she spent a lot of her time on maternity leave since returning to the company, but I’ve always considered her strengths to be on the mic rather than in the ring. Here’s wishing her the best in her recovery and her obvious goal of working the Evolution event.
I broke my wrist training in the ring to come back… 6 weeks in a cast. Do the math… still have time before #Evolution @wwe #adversity #unscriptedreality @ Orlando, Florida https://t.co/jmcPAUyBup
