Ring of Honor is advertising the following matches for the Supercard of Honor event, which will be held on April 7 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the UNO Lakefront Arena.
-Kenny Omega vs. Cody.
-Dalton Castle vs. Marty Scurll for the ROH Title.
-Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi and Jay Lethal for the ROH Tag Titles.
-Kenny King vs. Silas Young in a street fight for the ROH TV Title.
-Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, and Scorpio Sky vs. The Young Bucks and Flip Gordon in a ladder match for the ROH Six-Man Tag Titles.
-Punishment Martinez vs. Tomohiro Ishii.
-Kota Ibushi vs. Adam Page.
-The semifinals and finals of the Women of Honor Title tournament.
Powell’s POV: ROH scrapped the previously announced SoCal Uncensored vs. The Kingdom match for the ROH Six-Man Tag Titles with the idea being that Bully Ray banned The Kingdom from the Supercard of Honor event. Hopefully the new match means that Frankie Kazarian avoided a serious injury when his knee buckled at Sunday’s NJPW Strong Style Evolved event. ROH has not added the TV Title match to their website lineup, but the match was announced on this week’s television show.
The semifinals of the WOH tournament are set, but I will avoid listing them here due to spoiler reasons since the matches have yet to air on television. You can find the updated bracket here. This event will air on the HonorClub streaming service and FITE TV and will run head-to-head with the NXT Takeover: New Orleans show.
