WWE has announced that Ric Flair will appear at the Starrcade live event that will be held on November 25 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Read the official announcement at WWE.com.

Powell’s POV: Flair defeated Harley Race to win the NWA Championship on the first Starrcade event in Greensboro in 1983, so it’s a great touch to have him make an appearance. For that matter, it would be a cool touch if they company brought in Race as well. Despite the extra fanfare, the show is currently slated to be a house show and not a WWE Network special. It’s cool to see that Dustin Rhodes will apparently appear as himself rather than as Goldust for this event based on the updated lineup, which you can check out below.

-AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal in a cage match for the WWE Championship.

-Charlotte vs. Natalya in a cage match for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

-Baron Corbin vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the U.S. Title.

-Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler.

-Dustin Rhodes vs. Dash Wilder.

-The Hardy Boyz, Ricky Steamboat, and the Rock-n-Roll Express appear.

I know Jason is blowing this off as just another house show… But I bet we see a title change here. If the rumors are true about Jinder getting his title back… This is a logical place for it (no ppv before India tour). Zayn and KO woukd be great as tag Champs and I wouldn’t mind Nakamura as US champ (if AJ stays WWE champ). Will be interesting!!!
