Davey Richards announced via Twitter that he will undergo knee surgery, forcing him to cancel his remaining bookings for the remainder of the year. “I can’t apologize enough to everyone but I have to cancel my remaining bookings for 2017,” Richards wrote. “I am going to need surgery on Right knee.” Read more at Twitter.com/RichardsWesley.
Powell’s POV: Richards added that he has been coping with the knee injury since 2006 with cortisone shots, anti-inflammatory drugs, stem cell therapy, and hyperbaric chambers. Although he has teased retirement this year, he did add that he hopes “to return to it and give you your money’s worth.” Here’s wishing him the best with the surgery and recovery.
