Logo_WWENetwork_dn_crop600Former WWE wrestler Rene Goguen (a/k/a Rene Dupree) voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit he filed against WWE last week, according to James Caldwell of PWTorch.com. The lawsuit was filed over unpaid royalties stemming from WWE Network.

Powell’s POV: WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt told the Hollywood Reporter last week that Goguen signed a contract in 2011 that prevents him from making such claims. McDevitt added that Goguen’s attorney indicated that he did not know about that once he was informed, which may explain the voluntary dismissal.
