Awesome Kong (a/k/a Kia Stevens) announced via Twitter that she was released by the company. “My time this round in TNA was fun,” she wrote. “Time for me to move on to other things.” She also included “Released” and “HeadHeldHigh” hashtags. The news of Kong’s release was confirmed by TNA executive John Gaburick via his Twitter page.
Powell’s POV: It seemed like this move was a lock to happen given the backstage altercation that took place between Kong and Reby Hardy in England last week. Kong was sent home following a backstage dispute, while Hardy worked the tapings and is still with the company.
