Kurt Angle spoke with AP writer Dan Gelston and admitted that it’s amazing that TNA is still in business. “It’s amazing we’re still alive,” Angle said. “There have been some crazy things that we’ve done.”

Meanwhile, Dixie Carter addressed WWE signing former TNA talent. “We’ve always been criticized about taking WWE talent and I think it’s pretty interesting how the roles have been reversed,” she said. “Our competitors, our competition have been after our talent. A lot of times they come back. The grass isn’t always greener and what we have here is very special.” Read the full story at Bigstoryap.org.

Powell’s POV: The most encouraging thing that Carter said in the interview is that TNA is “trying to get back to more real things, things that come from a place that doesn’t seem fake or scripted or robotic.” Gelston notes that the Impact Wrestling television show will be available on VOD the day after it airs. The only problem at least as far as DirecTV customers are concerned is that Pop TV’s VOD is not offered by the satellite company, nor is the network available in HD. However, Pop TV did air this week’s show on their website, so it’s good to see that the show is available outside the weekly airing. EC3 is also quoted in the story and there are additional quotes from Angle and Carter, as well as your truly.
