Entrances for the opening match took place. Ariana Grace joined the commentary team for the opening match…
1. Trey Miguel vs. Adam Brooks. Brooks and Trey started the match with methodical wristholds. Trey did an armdrag to escape. Trey hit Brooks with a sweep into a dropkick combination. Trey hit Brooks with a Triangle Moonsault. Trey blew a kiss at Ariana Grace to gross her out. Brooks turned the tide with a STO on the apron. Trey went for a springboard, but was taken out of the air with a right hook for a two count. Brooks dominated for a stretch.
Trey did a rollup into a kick and basement forearm for a nearfall. Trey used a German Suplex for a moment of respite. Trey ran off Brooks and hit him with a Missile Dropkick. Trey hit Brooks with a Frankendriver. Brooks tripped Trey and hit him with a nice Deadlift Superplex from the apron. Brooks hit Trey with a Suicide Dive. Brooks hit Trey with a Gamengiri and Pump Kick. Brooks hit Trey with a Sitout Bomb for a nearfall. Trey rolled up Brooks for a nearfall.
Brooks came back with a dropkick in the corner. Trey hit Brooks with Poison Rana, Scorpion Kick, and Lightning Spiral for the victory.
Trey Miguel defeated Adam Brooks via pinfall in 7:36.
After the match Stacks showed up and nailed Trey with the title belt. Grace stormed the ring and berated Stacks for doing things this way…
John’s Thoughts: Fun opener. They said Brooks was Australian right? His look, size as a cruiserweight, and power style really remind me of another Australian, Buddy Matthews. That’s not a bad thing as I think a Power Style is great to counter the high flying cruiserweights, while also having that dynamic speed. Wouldn’t mind him getting signed. Good start for Trey as a singles. Moving forward, I would like it if they allow him to get a good amount of promo time as he really thrived the last time he was left by his fellow Rascalz, leading to a strong heel and X Division champion run (I like his upside as International Champion more than Stacks at this point).
Gia Miller interviewed Indi Hartwell, Lei Ying Lee, and Xia Brookside. Lee spoke in Mandarin. Hartwell claimed that she welcomed Ash by Elegance back while also hyping up their match against the Elegance Brand….

Entrances for the next match took place…
2. “The Righteous” Vincent and Dutch vs. Tommy Two Scoops and TW3. Vincent and Tommy started the match with Vincent dominating with methodical strikes. The Righteous used quick tags for tandem offense. TW3 tagged in. Dutch no sold his strikes. Dutch caught TW out of the air and slammed him to the mat. Vincent hit TW3 with a Flatliner. Vincent did a T Pose into a backfall. Dutch hit TW3 with a leg drop. The Righteous hit TW3 with Orange Sunshine (Assisted Side Slam) for the win.
The Righteous defeated TW3 and Tommy Two Scoops via pinfall in 2:23.
Vincent took the mic after the match. He said the Righteous don’t want a war with the Hardys because wars are messy. He said they want to stand beside the Hardys, not across. Vincent asked the Hardys to think about the offer…
The show cut to Matt and Jeff Hardy backstage where Matt pointed out they already beat the Righteous and need to move on. Jeff said he kinda digs what Vincent is saying, but they are still weird. The New System approached Matt and Jeff and beat them down due to the numbers advantage…

John’s Thoughts: Simple squash and good to establish the Righteous on AMC as a lot of their development happened during TNA’s lame duck period on AXS TV. I was thinking that they were going to build towards a cinematic match between the Broken Hardys and Righteous, but I’m also liking that The Hardys have multiple teams flanking them with The System also coming after the tag titles.
The show cut to Frankie Kazarian shaking hands with authority figure Daria Rae (with their weird cinematic music playing in the background)…
The show cut to Frankie Kazarian making his entrance. He said he was in “Alber Crack Kee”. Kazarian said he can’t stand Mike Santana wearing his TNA world title. He said he respects Santana being a warrior and one of the toughest men he’s been in the ring with. Kazarian said Mike is not a King. Kaz claimed that he was injured and Mike beat a one armed man. He talked about talking with Daria Rae who was more understanding than Santino.
Kazarian said there’s not a man in “Alber Crack Kee” that can beat even a one armed Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian kept trash talking individual fans and calling them “Marks”. He also called them stupid idiots (I don’t think he’s teasing Jericho?). “The Drifter” Elijah made his entrance to cut off Frankie’s promo, but walking past him to the ring. The rest of the wrestlers for the mixed tag made their entrance…
3. Elijah and Jaida Stone vs. Mustafa Ali and Tasha Steelz (w/John Skyler, Jason Hotch, Agent Zero). Steelz and Stone started the match. Stone flipped out of the corner and shoved Steelz into the corner. Stone did a Matrix dodge into a few armdrags. Ali got in the way to prevent a Suicide Dive. Order 4 regrouped at ringside. Elijah lifted Stone and Press Slammed them on Order 4.[c]
Back from break, Elijah hit Ali with a nice looking sitout power bomb. Stone and Steelz tagged in with Stone hitting Steelz with a Sling Blade. Stone hit Steelz with a Split legged Moonsault. Hotch and Skyler distracted the referee which allowed Agent Zero to slam Elijah’s back on the apron. Ali tagged in and confronted the legal woman, Stone. Ali shoved Stone around. Stone came back with a forearm.
Stone hit Ali with a DDT (and Ali sold it well as usual). Ali then tossed Stone into the corner. Stone hit Ali with a Tornado DDT. Stone hit Ali and Skyler with a Triangle Moonsault. Hotch tripped Stone on the apron. Stone came back with a superkick. Ali then took out Stone with a Wrecking Ball kick. Ali then tossed Elijah into the steel steps. Stone hit Ali with a drop toehold. Stone hit Ali with a backflip into a Stunner.
Steelz broke up Stone’s pin. Steelz tagged in and ate a Codebreaker from Stone. Ali dragged Stone off the top rope and hit her with the Tombstone Piledriver. Steelz picked up the pinfall.
Order 4 defeated Jaida Stone and Elijah via pinfall in 12:22.
John’s Thoughts: Jaida Stone came out of this match looking really good in defeat and really strong. That said, I thought it was a bit much to have ALL of Order 4 sell and bump around for her for a long period of time. Yes, you can chalk it up to Ali being cocky, but again, these intergender sequences can get messy in terms of psychology. Best part of pairing Stone against Ali is that Ali’s bumps can make anyone look like a million bucks. I can’t wait until they end this middling Order 4 vs. Elijah feud, mostly because Order 4 should be much higher on the card (given that we seen the at their highest point at last year’s Slammiversary). Ali and Steelz in particular are two of the best talkers and wrestlers in the company (People sleep on Steelz, but she can’t have a bad match, and she shows a ton of range talking).
Ariana Grace met up with Santino and was apologetic to her father. She said she’s also disappointed that NXT isn’t giving her opportunities (Damn right! They’re missing out!). Grace asked for a title match to prove that she can stand on her two feet. Santino said it’s not fair and would look like nepotism. Grace said it would make up for the Sweet 16 Santino missed when he was working live events. Santino said he’ll try to make something happen…

John’s Thoughts: I sympathize with Grace. I have no damn clue why NXT can’t find time for Ariana Grace on their show (yes they have a deep women’s division, but Grace stands out with her strong character work).
[Hour Two] Daria Rae ran through some advertised matches for the TNA Plus No Surrender show. Santino cut in and booked Lei Ying Lee vs. Ariana Grace. Rae pointed out the obvious nepotism. Rae saw Steve Maclin walking backstage and wondered why he was here? Santino said he’s just saying his goodbyes. Rae said she’s going to talk to the board of directors because Santino is out of control. The camera panned over to Maclin who talked about how this is his last night.
He said TNA made him a world champion. He said he loves this place because of the locker room, not the office. He said they stick together and are like the land of misfit toys. He said they overcame and are now on AMC. He said he’s happy that he’s leaving this place with his head held high and a tear in his eye. Maclin walked over to Mike Santana.
Santana talked about Maclin being the first person to welcome him back to TNA and their match showed Mike that he belongs in this locker room. He said he and Maclin have an unbreakable bond. He thanked Maclin for what he gave to this place. Both men hugged. After Santana turned his back to leave, Steve Maclin clubbed him in the back and beat him down. Security dragged Maclin away…[c]
John’s Thoughts: Interesting? I like that they’re not going to do any goofy Midnight Rider kind of mess (you kinda have that with Home Town Man). I forget if Maclin’s contract is actually up (I can look that up after. I’m guessing we might be watching his “short term extension”). My blind shot in the dark was that he could be AEW bound due to his wife Deonna Purrazzo being there? I donno? If so, please don’t add him to the Don Callis Family! What has me intrigued here is he walks out beating down Santana, so Santana can’t get his lick back? Maybe this is a way to book a sendoff match for Maclin?

Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt checked in on commentary. Hannifan said he goes way back with Maclin and is disappointed to see Maclin be unprofessional and burn bridges…

4. Tessa Blanchard (w/Victoria Crawford, Mila Moore). vs. Rachel Ley. This local talent must be a Rachel Ray fan. Tessa tossed around Ley. Ley went for a wristhold, but Tessa slammed her down. Tessa worked on Ley with methodical offense. Tessa dropkicked Ley into the rope for a one count. Tessa continued to toy with Ley.
Ley landed an elbow and boot. Tessa did the Samoa Joe “Nope” to Ley’s moonsault. Tessa hit Ley with the Buzzsaw for the win.
Tessa Blanchard defeated Rachel Ley via pinfall in 3:26.
John’s Thoughts: Tessa pulling out the Samoa Joe “Nope” got a chuckle out of me. I actually like them using the move to AMC to hit the reset button on Tessa, as they can start from the bottom up and build her to the top, just like her first run in the company. Only thing that has me wince is I hope the fans don’t bring up a certain three word chant that has hurt her since her return to TNA (I also pray that she’s matured, and always willing to forgive). What I also liked was that Robert Stone wasn’t at ringside with them which hopefully means he’s back to being NXT exclusive (With him being the new NXT GM, it would be awkward to do the weird heel on TNA and babyface on NXT thing). That also gives me hope that he won’t be an over the top heel authority figure in NXT.
Time for the TNA sponsored injury report. Rich Swann and AJ Francis are cleared, but recovering. Jaida Stone is in Evaluation after the pile driver. Ash by Elegance is cleared after an “undisclosed medical condition”.

Ryan Nemeth was talking to Mara Sade at a football stadium and said he wanted to challenge Mara to football skills events due to him being a Cleveland Browns Fan. Mara Sade threw a long pass to herself. Ryan Nemeth then claimed his shoulder hurt. Ryan then took Mara to the bar for darts. Ryan got a bullseye. Mara threw a dart at Ryan.
Ryan then took Mara to play Basketball HORSE. Ryan lost. Ryan said the last shot needs to be a trick shot. Mara superkicked Ryan to send his ball into the basket. Mara said that counts as a trick shot…
Eric Young confronted BDE backstage. BDE said he’s not interested in “the cleanse”. Young said BDE has power and the truth can be powerful if he allows Young to show him the truth (what?). Young then pinned BDE on the wall with his hand over BDE’s mouth. He said he’s giving BDE the gift of time. Young said he expects an answer next week….
John’s Thoughts: What the F was that? This current Eric Young is the most annoying character in pro wrestling currently for me, as he’s been doing this “nothing” gimmick for months. Dumbass, booty cleanse, gimmick! And I really really liked Young’s work over the years. Maybe it’s not as bad for new viewers as this has dragged for regular viewers for months, but even then it is the least bit intriguing. You wanna bring in nostalgia and new viewers TNA? Just go back to “Showtime” Eric Young! He’s awesome. World Class Maniac EY hit it’s expiration date three cult gimmicks ago!
The Personal Concierge did his usual over the top intro for the Elegance Brand. Ash, Heather, and M by Elegance made their entrance in Breaking Bad hazmat suit themed attire (Given how yellow they are, you can also say it’s Pluribus themed. It’s not though). Mr Elegance was doing his usual Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure wiggling thing. The babyfaces then made their entrance…
5. Indi Hartwell, Xia Brookside, and TNA Knockouts Champion Lei Ying Lee vs. “The Elegance Brand” Ash, Heather, and M by Elegance (w/The Personal Concierge, Mr. Elegance). Lee was the first in. The Elegance Brand did quick tags to stall. M tried to blindside Lee, but Lee caught the kick and tripped up M for a one count. Brookside tagged in and slammed M. Lee and Brookside hit M with tandem offense. Brookside worked on M with Judo pins. All six women entered the ring and the babyfaces dumped the heels to ringside.[c]
Lee caught a hot tag and cleaned house with kicks. Lee hit Ash with Ten Punches in the Corner. Mr. Elegance threw a coat at Lee to allow Ash to slam Lee. Ash but Lee in chinlock. Lee used elbows to break free. Lee and Ash took each other out with clotheslines. Indi and M tagged in with Indi having momentum. Indi stomped on M’s toe and hit her with a Spinebuster for a two count. Heather and Brookside tagged in. Heather hit Hartwell with a Missile Dropkick.
Xia hit the Elegance Brand with a diving crossbody. The Concierge accidentally hit Mr. Elegance with a glitter bomb when Xia ducked. Brookside used a Butterfly pin to pick up the win on M.
Xia Brookside, Lei Ying Lee, and Indi Hartwell defeated The Elegance Brand via pinfall in 12:37.
The Elegance Brand put the boots to Brookside after the match. The Elegance Brand struck their poses over Xia (How long are Indi and Lee selling?)…
TNA World Champion Mike Santana was shown walking backstage…[c]
John’s Thoughts: The end of that match was weird with Lei Ying Lee and Indi Hartwell selling for a long time (Unless I missed something looking up and down from my laptop). What’s also odd is why did they put the title on Lei Ying Lee if they were going to continue to book her as a tag team wrestler on TV. That was emphasized too with Brookside picking up the pinfall. I would have kept the belt on Kelani Jordan because Jordan’s doing a great job as a heel. Ultimately though, really really happy to see that whatever almost forced Ash into retirement has been taken care of and she gets another run at it. I loved the effort she put in to reinvent herself after Dana Brooke and hope that she gets to flourish with this entertaining gimmick she’s developed for herself.

TNA World Champion Mike Santana made his entrance from the Concourse to the ring. Santana took the mic and hyped up the local crowd. Santana said a few weeks ago he came out to the middle of the ring to prove to everyone that he can hold the weight of the world title. He said he was okay with the target on his back because he thrives in chaos. He said after what Maclin did to him, he didn’t expect gold to turn a best friend into a worst enemy.
Mike said if Maclin wants a title shot, don’t stab him in the back, stab him in the chest. Mike yelled for Maclin to not act like a bitch. The New System ran out and beat down Santana four on one. Before Eddie Edwards could hit Mike with the title belt, Matt and Jeff Hardy ran out for a save attempt. The System still had the numbers advantage and beat down the babyfaces.
Moose’s entrance theme played to distract The System. Moose appeared from behind and ran through them with right hands. Moose power bombed Cedric Alexander on the other three System members. Tom Hannifan plugged No Surrender. The executive producer credits aired to close the show…
John’s Thoughts: I’m not sure where they’re trying to go, but not in a bad way. I like The System getting involved in two front wars. Yes, it’s to build for their next TNA Plus show, but I like that they’re taking a different approach. Before, they used to pause their main storylines to book towards their filler TNA Plus shows. Here, they are weaving in the TNA Plus build into the main build. My guess is that Maclin’s farewell match will be the main storyline. That aside, I do like the way that they are building the current version of The System.
The original System was dead on arrival when they force fed them on TV without development (though they did get better once JDC joined the group and Alicia Edwards found her voice as the breakthrough talker of the crew). Here, they’re fresh with Cedric and Bear and hopefully they don’t bury them. Build them from the ground up, week by week, kinda like what I assume they’re doing with Tessa. As has been the case for a long while, TNA continues to put on good television when they’re not live. Not sure what it is? This was a fun weekly episode and they are establishing interesting story threads.
