AEW Double or Nothing lineup: The updated card for the Memorial Day weekend event

The following matches are advertised for the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view that will be held on Sunday, May 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada at T-Mobile Arena.

-“Hangman” Adam Page vs. CM Punk for the AEW World Championship

-Thunder Rosa vs. Serena Deeb for the AEW Women’s Championship

-Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus vs. Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland in a three-way for the AEW Tag Titles

-Jade Cargill vs. Anna Jay for the TBS Championship

-Adam Cole vs. TBA in the Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament Final

-The Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament Final

-“The Young Bucks” Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson vs. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy

-“Jericho Appreciation Society” Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker vs. Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Eddie Kingston, Santana, Ortiz in an Anarchy in the Arena match

-“Death Triangle” Pac, Penta Oscuro, and Rey Fenix vs. “House of Black” Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews

-(Pre-Show) Hook and Danhausen vs. Tony Nese and Mark Sterling

Powell’s POV: Cole will face the winners of Wednesday’s Samoa Joe vs. Kyle O’Reilly match in the tournament finals. The winners of the Britt Baker vs. Toni Storm and Kris Statlander vs. Ruby Soho semifinal matches will meet in the finals. AEW will also hold the go-home editions of Dynamite and Rampage in Las Vegas at Michelob Ultra Arena, and there will be a fan fest event on Saturday, May 28 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. AEW Double Or Nothing is listed as a $49.99 pay-per-view event in the United States.   1. If this is the flagship annual AEW PPV, or their Wrestlemania, then the womens title match between Jade Cargill and Anna Jay just doesn’t come across as marquee enough, and it has nothing to do with Cargill. I know that it is the “Intercontinental” womens title but still.

    Anna Jay hasn’t wrestled on TV since January, and that was a loss to Jade.

    Before that was the tag team street fight last December against Penelope Ford (where did she disappear to?) and The Bunny.

    Anna Jay has won exactly TWO singles matches on AEW TV, a September 2021 match on Rampage and a September 2020 match or Dynamite. How is someone with TWO wins on TV a contender for a belt that’s literally a TV title?
