AEW Dynamite rating: How did the show headlined by Darby Allin vs. Kevin Knight for the AEW World Championship perform?

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite television show averaged 590,000 viewers for TBS, according to ProgrammingInsider.com. The viewership was down from last week’s average of 596,000. Dynamite finished with a 0.10 rating in the 18-49 demo, up from the previous week’s 0.08 rating in the same demo.

Powell’s POV: The HBO Max streaming numbers are not included in the rating or viewership count for AEW programming. Tuesday’s NXT on The CW Network averaged 641,000 viewers and a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demo. One year ago, on May 7, 2025, Dynamite on TBS delivered 629,000 viewers and a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

  1. This may be the first time in wrestling history that a show has seen a major ratings drop over a month while having a world title match every week.

    • darby isn’t credible as a HW World Champion, need to eliminate some belts and have a junior champ for all the vanilla midgets. At least 220 – 230 pounds to be HW isn’t asking much. Didn’t AEW want to be more sports like? Though they ditched the rankings. Tired of the indy flippity flop and 150 pound guys kicking out of repeated finishers in every match.

The minor blip is already gone and AEW is back in the shitter again.

Can’t wait to see them land on QVC once the current TV deal ends and Paramount doesn’t renew them.
