WWE announced Sunday that they have released Luke Harper (Jonathan Huber), Sin Cara (Jorge Arias), and “The Ascension” Konnor (Ryan Parmeter) and Viktor (Eric Thompson) from their contracts. Read the official announcement at WWE.com.

Powell’s POV: Harper and Sin Cara both previously announced that they had requested their releases from the company. Harper recently filed a trademark on the Brodie Lee name that he used on the independent scene. It will be interesting to see where the four wrestlers land. Harper strikes me as the standout of the four and AEW would seem to be a good fit, though we don’t know the terms of the releases.

  1. Harper obviously makes sense for AEW, and hopefully he’s one they could make into a star since WWE dropped the ball on him.

Arias could be a good fit to go back to the Incognito name and work with AAA and/or MLW.

Not sure where the Ascension guys fit at all. Probably something on the independents and maybe not as a team.

  2. Harper could be a major player in AEW as a top level heel, I think.

Sin Cara to AAA or MLW makes sense.

The Ascension did some ok stuff with Breezango, so maybe they catch on somewhere with a better gimmick? They might be a fit in Impact?

  3. matches to dream of brodie lee vs brian cage, brodie lee vs bandido, brodie lee vs jon moxley, brodie lee vs david starr
