WWE’s chartered flight out of Saudi Arabia was delayed. The circumstances causing the delay are unclear. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com reports that WWE was able to rush certain talent out of the country for tonight’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown on Fox.
Powell’s POV: I believe the story was first reported by Fightful.com. WWE has yet to address the situation publicly. Given the country involved, there is a lot of speculation about the cause of the delay and whether it’s truly mechanical in nature, so hopefully the company is at least keeping those directly affected and their families in the loop.
