WWE has announced that Elias is injured and will not be able to face Chad Gable in the King of the Ring semifinal match that had been scheduled for tonight’s Smackdown television show. Read the official announcement at WWE.com.
Powell’s POV: WWE has yet to indicate whether Gable will advance to the final or if there will be a replacement match. For that matter, they did not list a specific injury for Elias, so it’s possible this is storyline driven. We’ll be sure to pass along any updates.
