-WWE is in Bismarck, North Dakota at Bismarck Event Center tonight with the following advertised matches: Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin in a No Holds Barred Match for the WWE Championship, Miz TV with Becky Lynch and Lacey Evans.

-WWE is in Grand Forks, North Dakota at Alerus Center on Saturday with the following advertised main event: Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin in a No Holds Barred Match for the WWE Championship, Miz TV with Natalya and Alexa Bliss (Bliss is also advertised for the Houston show below).

-WWE is in Houston, Texas at Toyota Center on Saturday with the following advertised matches: Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship, Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre in a Houston Street Fight, Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler, Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship, Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Ali for the Intercontinental Championship, Braun Strowman vs. Sami Zayn, Kabuki Warriors vs. The IIconics vs. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, Big E and Xavier Woods vs. Elias and Samoa Joe, and Aleister Black vs. Andrade.

-The new NJPW events are August 22 in Tacoma Washington at Temple Theater, and August 24 in San Francisco, California at San Francisco State University Student Life Events Center, and August 25 in Long Beach, California at the Walter Pyramid with the Super J-Cup tournament.

-ROH’s next dates are August 24 in Atlanta, Georgia at Center Stage with a television taping, and August 25 in Nashville, Tennessee at the Nashville Fairgrounds.

-The next Evolve dates are Evolve 133 on August 24 in Livonia, Michigan at Monaghan Knights Of Columbus Hall, and Evolve 134 on August 25 in Chicago, Illinois at Logan Square Auditorium.

-The next AEW event is the All Out pay-per-view on August 31 in Chicago, Illinois at Sears Centre. The top matches include the Young Bucks vs. Pentagon Jr. and Fenix in a ladder match, and Cody vs. Shawn Spears.

-MLW’s War Chamber will be held September 7 in Dallas, Texas at NYTEX Sports Centre.

-The NWA announced that it will be taping its weekly studio wrestling show on September 30 and October 1 at an undisclosed location in Atlanta.

Birthdays and Notables

-Former WWE wrestler Big Cass (William Morrissey) is 32.

-Cedric Alexander (Cederick Alexander Johnson) is 30.

-The late Fritz Von Erich (Jack Adkisson) was born on August 16, 1929. The longtime wrestler and promoter died at age 68 of brain and lung cancer on September 10, 1997.

-The late Dick Murdoch was born on August 16, 1946. He died of a heart attack on June 15, 1996.

-Pat O’Connor died on August 16, 1990 at age 65 following a bout with cancer.
