A Myrtle Beach, South Carolina police report states that WWE wrestler Jeff Hardy was found passed out and reeking of booze in a public stairwell before he was arrested on Saturday. TMZ.com adds that Hardy was released the same day on a “less than $200 bond” and later paid a $153 ticket for public intoxication.
Powell’s POV: Oddly enough, WWE did an angle where Hardy was found unconscious in a hotel stairwell on the morning of the Survivor Series 2008. They played it up as a legitimate story on the morning of the event and it was eventually revealed to be a storyline. I remember this well because the angle occurred on the same morning that the Guns N’ Roses “Chinese Democracy” album was finally released and the story prolonged my long wait to hear it by a few more hours.
