Monday’s WWE Raw scored a 1.61 rating, down from the 1.73 rating the show drew last week. Raw averaged 2.19 million viewers, down from the 2.521 million average from last week.
Powell’s POV: WWE faced no NBA playoff competition. The NHL Stanley Cup Final game one delivered 5.251 million viewers for NBC. WWE has tried a shakeup, wildcard rules, the McMahons returning to television, the introduction of a 24/7 Title, Brock Lesnar returning to TV as the Money in the Bank contract holder, and something called The Electric Chair interview segment. Perhaps one of these days they will realize that stunts will only get them so far and the solution is changing the booking approach and patience. There’s no quick fix for the mess that Vince McMahon created for himself. The May 28, 2018 edition of Raw delivered a 1.70 rating with 2.494 million viewers on Memorial Day.
