WWE Raw on-site report for the night after WrestleMania 35 with notes on the crowd rejecting the main event bait and switch, the post match scene with The Shield’s final planned appearance

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Dot Net reader Brian Oglesby attended Monday’s WWE Raw in Brooklyn, New York at Barclays Center and sent the following report.

Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and Kofi Kingston all got very good pops. Sami Zayn also got a good pop on his return and even a mixture of cheers after his promo. The Undertaker pop for his appearance was probably the biggest of the night.

There was an advertisement ran in the arena for a Kofi championship celebration for Smackdown Live. As soon as that was seen, you knew the main event finish was going to be screwy.

The crowd was pissed at the finish of the main event. There were CM Punk chants, loud AEW chants, and I saw four different beach balls going around. Cesaro got two of them at different points and ripped them up. A fan got a hold of a third one and ripped it up then flipped the middle finger to the crowd. An arena worker got the fourth one. Each time the balls were taken the person taking them was greeted with a load “asshole” chants.

There was one final Shield reunion after Raw went off the air. Rollins cut a promo about how much he loves Dean Ambrose and that if it weren’t for Ambrose he wouldn’t be where he is today. Roman Reigns came out in a tank top and sweat pants and based on the crowd reaction to him I see why WWE kept him off television. In all of this Reigns never spoke.

Ambrose spoke about how there were special moments in Barclays Center and that his favorite match they had as the Shield was the TLC PPV ladder match, which was one of their first as a team. He said it’s not the building that matters it’s the people that fill it. He thanked us and they did a fist bump in the ring and then one final time on the entrance ramp.
