Ross Hart spoke with Dan Gelston of the Associated Press regarding the death of his brother-in-law Jim Neidhart on Monday. “He got up (Monday) morning and went to lower the temperature on the air conditioner and he just collapsed and I think died pretty quickly,” Hart said. “I was think this was stemming from Alzheimer’s which he’d been battling for some time. It’s a struggle he’s been going through.” Read the full story at APNews.com.

Powell’s POV: The police have speculated that Neidhart died after he fell and hit his head at his home in Pasco County, Florida. They noted that they do not suspect foul play. Ross’s explanation adds new details and it’s certainly possible for the two versions of the events to mesh. The AP story also includes quotes from Jimmy Hart regarding Neidhart and Bret Hart as The Hart Foundation.
