The following matches are advertised for WWE SummerSlam, which takes place on August 19 in Brooklyn, New York at Barclays Center.
-Brock Lesnar defends the WWE Universal Championship against the winner of the Raw match between Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns.
-Alexa Bliss vs. Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship.
-Bludgeon Brothers defend the Smackdown Tag Titles against the winners of the Smackdown Tag Tournament between New Day, Sanity, The Usos, and Sheamus and Cesaro.
Powell’s POV: The Lashley vs. Reigns match to determine Lesnar’s challenger will occur on tonight’s Raw. Paige will announce the challenger for AJ Styles’ WWE Championship on Tuesday’s Smackdown television show. The tournament to determine the No. 1 contenders to the Smackdown Tag Titles will play out over the next three weeks on Smackdown. We should get some additional SummerSlam developments on tonight’s Raw.
