WWE Raw onsite report: Roman Reigns cheered more than usual and a theory as to why, crowd reaction to Ronda Rousey, Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor, and more

Dot Net reader Brian Oglesby attended the WWE Raw event in Atlanta, Georgia at Philips Arena on Monday and sent the following report.

The legit sold out crowd was very into Ronda Rousey and there was lots of heat on Stephanie McMahon during the opening segment.

-It was great in the building for the final five minutes or so for the Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor match. It took them a little bit to get the crowd invested.

-John Cena got a good reaction and had the crowd very pumped up and loud trying to get a response from Undertaker. It was probably the loudest the crowd was all night.

-The fans was very bored by the women’s tag team match with Alexa Bliss and Mickie James vs. Asuka and Dana Brooke. They seemed anxious to see Asuka get the hot tag and end the match.

-Brock Lesnar entered to a mild reaction and Roman Reigns was cheered more than normal. I believe that is a result of him attending Georgia Tech. As Reigns approached the ring, there was a ” Let’s go Roman” chant that got going. He also got a good reaction when he held up the WWE Universal Championship.

-After Raw went off the air and as Reigns was laid out in the ring, The Bar came out and attacked him. John Cena made the save and he and Reigns hit their finishers simultaneously on The Bar to close things out and send the crowd home happy.

No return date was announced.
