Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi health updates coming out of NJPW Strong Style Evolved

By Jason Powell, Prowrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Kenny Omega stated that Kota Ibushi suffered a concussion during their main event tag match against the Young Bucks at Sunday’s New Japan Pro Wrestling Strong Style Evolved event. Omega spoke at a post-show press conference and was asked about his own health by Dot Net staffer Will Pruett. Omega stated that he would be able to wrestle in the co-main event of the Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor event on April 7 in New Orleans.

Powell’s POV: Omega noted that he and Ibushi were injured when their heads collided early in the match. Ibushi performed a standing moonsault on one of the Bucks and then Omega followed up with a top rope moonsault and their heads collided. Omega mentioned the possibility of suffering a broken orbital bone during his post match promo, but shortly after the event he expressed confidence in working the ROH event. Will is going to have the post show press conference available at Twitter.com/wilpruett and we will also run the footage on Monday morning.
