WWE has announced Hillbilly Jim (James Morris) as the latest entrant in the WWE Hall of Fame’s class of 2018. The ceremony will be held on Friday, April 6 in New Orleans, Louisiana at Smoothie King Center.

Powell’s POV: There is likely pandemonium on the streets (or just street) in Mud Lick, Kentucky. The Hillbilly act was popular in the WWF in the mid-eighties with Jim eventually being joined by Uncle Elmer, Cousin Luke, and Cousin Junior. The Class of 2018 currently features Bill Goldberg, The Dudley Boyz, Ivory, Jeff Jarrett, Hillbilly Jim, and Warrior Award winner JJ Robertson.

  1. Why?

    I mean, seriously… why?

What did he ever win, did he draw, did he have memorable feuds or sell tons of merchandise and was beloved by all? I didn’t get Hacksaw Jim, I certainly don’t get Hillbilly Jim

    • Hillbilly Jim was huge for a couple of years. He absolutely drew money and was so popular they added 3 more characters to his family. He also had a really good run as Harley Davidson before that.
