Global Force Wrestling’s Impact Wrestling television show will remain on Pop TV through 2018, according to Dave Meltzer of WrestlingObserver.com. The company’s previous deal with Pop ran through 2017.
Powell’s POV: Congrats to Pop TV for keeping the Dan Lambert Show. In all seriousness, unless the terms changed significantly from the previous agreement, which was described as a barter deal, then I don’t see how this is good news for GFW. There was buzz back in March that company executives were talking with Spike TV officials about a potential return to the network. The buzz started because Spike executive Scott Fishman was backstage at Impact tapings. However, as we noted at the time, it’s not uncommon for Fishman to visit. Meanwhile, Brian Fritz of BetweenTheRopes.com spoke with a Spike TV representative David Schwarz, who told him on record that Spike was not negotiating any potential deal and that Fishman was there for personal reasons.

This show GFW is nothing more than in survival mode. Unless Anthem ponies up some money, what did you expect other than this deal and 2 live events that brought in no more than 600 people total. A disgrace.
