Kenny Omega and Cody took part in an angle held after the main event of the New Japan Pro Wrestling G1 Special on Saturday in Long Beach, California. The video shows Cody confronting Omega, who teased throwing in the towel on Cody’s main event match with Kazuchika Okada. Powell’s POV: This goes back to the NJPW Dominion event when Cody nearly threw in the towel when Omega was challenging Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. It will be interesting to see where this goes on the second night, which Will Pruett will be covering live from the building while I cover the Slammiversary event.
