The Wednesday, August 5, AEW Dynamite television show averaged 694,000 viewers for TBS, according to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com. The viewership was up from the prior week’s average of 676,000. Dynamite finished with a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demo, up from the previous week’s 0.12 rating in the same demo.
Powell’s POV: The HBO Max streaming numbers are not included in the rating or viewership count for AEW programming. The Grand Slam Mexico edition of Dynamite was listed as a 2.5-hour show and ran roughly 23 minutes longer Meltzer reported that Dynamite averaged 736,000 viewers during the show’s usual two-hour time slot, meaning the show lost viewers during the overrun. So what’s the point of the long overruns if they just lower AEW’s average viewership count? One year ago, on August 6, 2025, Dynamite on TBS delivered 711,000 viewers and a 0.18 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
