Before the show, they gave the fans three choices for what match they would air before the show from past SummerSlams. The options were John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar, Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels, and Steve Austin vs. Undertaker. The Austin vs. Taker match won. At bell time, it appeared to be close to a sell out with some scattered open seats, but it looked like a good crowd.

1. The Usos defeated Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. The crowd was really into the match.

2. Apollo Crews beat Sheamus. The crowd was chanting “you look stupid” throughout the match. Crews won with a rollup.

3. Alberto Del Rio beat Zack Ryder. Fans were into a lot a of the near falls. Del Rio won via submission.

4. Mark Henry and Jack Swagger beat Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Henry got pretty good reaction.

5. Chris Jericho beat Neville. Jericho really heeled on the fans of NYC by saying that he was born here but he was glad he moved away. He did his basic shtick, but he got the best crowd reaction thus far. Jericho won the the Codebreaker.

6. John Cena defeated AJ Styles. Anderson and Gallows tried to help Styles, but The Usos made the save leading to the Attitude Adjustment from Cena for the win. A pretty good match considering it was a house show. There were some really believable near falls but the outcome was no surprise.

WWE announced that they will return to MSG on Monday, December 26 for annual holiday weekend show. The pre-sale code is WWELIVE.

7. Becky Lynch beat Natalya. Lynch won the match via submission.

8. New Day beat The Wyatt Family. New Day won a fairly quick six-man tag match.

9. Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens in a Triple Threat to retain the WWE Championship. The video screen above the ring was off for the Cena vs. AJ match and again for this match. Not sure why.

Overall good show, the fans were really into it the whole night.

Best Reactions: Cena, Ambrose, New Day

Most Heat: AJ/Anderson/Gallows, Jericho, Del Rio.
