Archie Gouldie, who wrestled as The Mongolian Stomper, died on Saturday. The cause of death is unknown, though he had reportedly battled numerous health issues in recent years.

Powell’s POV: Gouldie had lengthy runs in the Calgary Stampede promotion and in Tennessee. Jerry Lawler labeled him one of his “greatest all-time opponents” in a Twitter post on Saturday. It’s worth nothing that while some reports and Lawler’s tweet list Gouldie as being 71 at the time of his death, other reports state that he was 78 years old. My condolences to his family, friends, and fans.
