Former WWE wrestler Mark Copani, who wrestled as Muhammad Hassan, returned to the ring for the first time in 13 years on Saturday at the Dynasty Pro wrestling event in Amsterdam, New York. Check out footage of his return below or at Youtube.com.

Powell’s POV: The Hassan character debuted in December 2004 and Copani was released by the company in September 2005. He retired from pro wrestling at the time and focussed on acting. He also joined a class action lawsuit against WWE over head trauma in 2016. Copani discussed his career and with the “Why It Ended Podcast” and followed up by exchanging texts with co-host Matt Koon, who noted on Twitter that Copani told him the podcast was the catalyst for his return to the ring. Matt Koon joined me on the latest Pro Wrestling Boom Podcast with Jason Powell last week. The show also featured former ECW Champion Justin Credible. You can find that show below the video.
