[Hour One] Joe Tessitore opened the show and narrated backstage/arrival shots of Solo Sikoa, Bayley, and Iyo Sky. Wade Barrett was on color commentary… A video package recapped the main event of last week’s Raw in Mexico City, with Roman Reigns beating Penta to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. They also included some footage of LA Knight confronting Reigns afterward…
LA Knight was shown arriving backstage. He crossed paths with Penta, and then the camera followed Penta as he walked into the Gorilla Position…
Penta made his entrance while ring announcer Alicia Taylor introduced him. Tessitore labeled Penta’s match with Reigns as an instant classic. Barrett said Penta captured the imagination of the entire industry and proved, even in defeat, that he is now a main event star in WWE.
Once in the ring, Penta said last week’s Raw in Mexico City was one of the biggest moments of his life. Penta said Reigns was the better man last week and he respects him, but “this is not over.” Penta said he wants another opportunity, another fight, and the World Heavyweight Championship. Penta said it’s only the beginning between him and Reigns.
Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh walked out and interrupted Penta. The fans booed loudly as Dom said no one cares about Penta’s hopes and dreams. He said the people want to hear from somebody who stood tall in Mexico City, like Judgment Day.
Dom and McDonagh climbed on the apron. McDonagh said he didn’t know why Penta was talking about the world title when he had his shot and lost. Dom and McDonagh entered the ring. McDonagh said Dom would win Money in the Bank and become world champion long before Penta. Dom said Penta is just a luchador, whereas he is the king of the luchadores.
Penta called Dom a “pendejo.” Dom and McDonagh attacked Penta and tossed him to the floor. The heel duo followed. Dom cleared the broadcast table, and then McDonagh set up for a powerbomb, but Penta backdropped him before superkicking Dom. Penta threw them back inside the ring and then performed a top rope crossbody block onto Dom and McDonagh, who fled the ring…
Powell’s POV: They have to follow through, but it was encouraging to hear Penta say he’s not finished with Reigns. I feared he would end up chasing the Intercontinental Title again, but the announcers gushed over him. It came off like the plan is to feature Penta prominently. On a side note, WrestleTix listed the venue as being set up for 9,288, with 8,923 tickets distributed. The total number of seats on the map is 16,280. The last time WWE ran the venue, 14,399 tickets were distributed for Raw on March 16, 2026.
Jacob Fatu spoke with Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso in the Bloodline dressing room. The Usos wanted to go on the offensive with “The 946” trio of Royce Keys, Bronco Nima, and Lucien Price. Fatu said they were better off lying low.
Solo Sikoa entered the room waving a white flag. Solo said they needed to come together to fight off the 946. The Usos wanted Solo to acknowledge Roman Reigns. Solo said that wouldn’t happen, and then exited the room. Fatu told the Usos that they just made a big mistake…
Iyo Sky made her entrance for the women’s Money in the Bank qualifier before the first commercial break… [C] Roxanne Perez was in the ring coming out of the break, and AAA Reinas de Reinas Champion La Catalina’s full entrance was televised. Highlights aired of La Catalina beating Flammer to win the title at Triplemania 34…
1. Roxanne Perez vs. La Catalina vs. Iyo Sky in a Triple Threat women’s Money in the Bank qualifier. The MITB briefcases were hanging above the ring. Tessitore recalled Catalina starting with WWE as a teenager and eventually reinventing herself. An “Iyo Sky” chant broke out early in the match. Sky performed an Asai Moonsault onto Perez. Catalina went up top and dove onto both opponents before a break. [C]
Late in the match, Perez avoided a charging Catalina, who accidentally knocked Sky off the ropes to the floor. Catalina performed a Gory Special and covered Perez for a near fall. Sky returned with a missile dropkick on both opponents. Sky followed up with the Bullet Train on both opponents. Sky went for a top rope moonsault on both opponents, but Perez moved. Perez hit Sky with her Pop Rox finisher and then pinned her…
Roxanne Perez defeated Iyo Sky and La Catalina in a Triple Threat in 14:00 to qualify for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Powell’s POV: An upset win for Perez. I expected the opposite finish with Sky pinning Perez. No complaints. Sky is a star who doesn’t need the MITB briefcase. I was also surprised La Catalina didn’t get a stronger reaction during her entrance. The fans cheered, but she didn’t get the big star reaction that was reserved for Sky.
Backstage, LA Knight questioned Solo Sikoa about interacting with The Bloodline. Solo said it wasn’t what it looked like. Knight spoke about their opportunities and said they could handle their other business after Money in the Bank. “Don’t you dare cash in on me,” Knight said lightheartedly. Solo asked why he would do that when Knight is his boy… [C]
LA Knight made his entrance. The broadcast team hyped Knight’s match with Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank. Knight said it had been three years since he and Reigns met in a singles match.
Knight acknoweldged losing to Reigns and that he has never won the big one. He recalled watching Reigns vs. Penta and questioning whether anyone could beat Reigns, including him. Knight said he noticed something different. He pointed out that the other Bloodline members have not been interfering in Roman’s matches.
Knight said Reigns wants to rewrite history to prove that he can do it on his own. Knight said Reigns has never beaten him on his own. Knight said he’s never needed anyone to help him beat anybody. Knight said he would acknowledge Reigns acknowledging him as the new champion at Money in the Bank…
Powell’s POV: This wasn’t Knight’s best promo, but the live crowd stayed with him.
Backstage, Byron Saxton interviewed Je’Von Evans. Saxton said that 22-year-old Evans will be the youngest entrant in a Money in the Bank ladder match. Evans spoke of becoming the youngest man to ever win MITB.
The Vision’s Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and Maxxine Dupri showed up, and some of them laughed at Evans for thinking he would win. Breakker congratulated Evans on qualifying for MITB, but he told him that MITB is his.
Evans said he had his gear on. He said he was going to take some pictures, but he noticed Breakker had his gear on and challenged him. Evans noted that he was outnumbered and then slapped Breakker before laughing and running away. The other Vision members wanted to go after Evans, but Breakker stayed calm and said Evans would make history… [C]
The broadcast team plugged WWE Radio… Breakker was in the ring coming out of the break…
2. Bron Breakker (w/Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, Maxxine Dupri) vs. Je’Von Evans. The broadcast team spoke about Breakker keeping his cool during the backstage segment. Evans got the better of Breakker and then stepped aside when Breakker went for a spear on the floor, which led to Breakker tumbling into the timekeeper’s area. Evans performed a running dive on Breakker before a PIP break.
[Hour Two] [C] Both men were in the ring coming out of the break. Breakker went for a spear, but Evans superkicked him. A short time later, Breakker went for a military press, but Evans countered into a pin for a near fall. Breakker ended up on the floor. Evans set up for a dive, but Dupri climbed on the apron and blocked his path. Evans caught Reed trying to interfere, but then ate a Theory punch. Breakker
Breakker lowered the straps on his gear and went for a spear, but Evans sidestepped him. Evans punched Theory to knock him off the apron. Evans followed up with dives onto Reed and Breakker. Back in the ring, Evans dropped Breakker with a kick. Evans went for an OG Cutter, but Theory pushed him off the ropes in front of the referee for the DQ finish.
Je’Von Evans beat Bron Breakker by DQ in 12:00.
Oba Femi ran out afterward to stop Breakker and Theory from working over Evans. Oba hit running uppercuts on Breakker and Theory in opposite corners until Reed corner-splashed him. Oba no-sold the splash and then booted Reed in the head. Logan Paul tried to enter the ring with a chair, but Oba stepped on it. Logan backed off, and then Oba worked over Theory and Breakker with the chair.
Reed cut off Oba with a headbutt and took the chair, but Oba hit him with an uppercut before picking up the chair and slamming it across his back. Evans got to his feet, and then Oba launched him over the top rope and onto some of the heels on the floor. Oba struck his pose… [C]
Powell’s POV: Breakker scored points for keeping his cool, only to be outwrestled by Evans throughout their match. I like Evans, but it was odd to see Breakker giving up so much offense. The company went from selling Breakker as being at the same level as Oba Femi going into their Sunday Night’s Main Event match to having Evans get the better of their match, followed by Oba manhandling him afterward. Strange. That said, it was good to see Oba back from a brief hiatus.
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry was shown in the crowd…
A video aired with 946’s Royce Keys, Bronco Nima, and Lucien Price sitting in a car. Keys said they weren’t giving more warning shots. He said they crossed the line and nobody is safe…
Barrett said no one in WWE felt safe and at ease because of the 946 threat…
Footage aired from earlier in the day of Joe Hendry playing his guitar in the concourse while leading fans in a singalong. Someone was there wearing the silly JD McDonagh Funko Pop…
The Judgment Day’s Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, Raquel Rodriguez, JD McDonagh, and Roxanne Perez made their entrance. Morgan was going to speak, but McDonagh said he had to get something off his chest. McDonagh vented about the Funko Pop head. He said his father is not a Funko Pop. “And I have a very normal-sized head,” McDonagh said.
Rodriguez said that as a Texan, she was embarrassed by the behavior of the fans. She added that Morgan’s video is better than anything Hendry has done. Morgan boasted that they proved last week that Judgment Day still runs Raw and then ran through their actions from that show.
Morgan said Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer can’t hide from her forever. Morgan said she’s coming for Vaquer and Becky Lynch, who was the special referee when Vaquer beat her for the title. Morgan told Vaquer to come out and give her a rematch.
Becky Lynch’s entrance music interrupted Morgan. Lynch stood in the crowd in front of a concourse entryway. She called McDonagh “Jordan Devlin McDonagh” and said she’s known him since he was 12. Lynch said she called McDonagh’s mother and then said something about the Funko Pop that didn’t get over.
Lynch spoke about being the greatest referee and did the bit about how everyone is saying it, which drew cheers. Lynch said she is getting the first shot at the Women’s World Championship.
Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer made her entrance and spoke from the entrance aisle. Vaquer said she won the title on her own. Morgan said Lynch helped, and everyone knew it. Vaquer said she would give Morgan a rematch.
“Hello,” Lynch said. Vaquer said Lynch was a good referee who had her back, so she would give her a title shot too. Vaquer said a good champion isn’t afraid to defend the title. Vaquer said she would talk to Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and then closed out her promo…
Lyra Valkyria was featured in a promo video. Valkyria said she clearly didn’t go far enough the last time she faced Bayley. She said she would make Bayley wish that their last match had been Bayley’s last match…
Bayley made her entrance and slapped hands on her way to the ring… [C] Tessitore spoke about a John Cena patch that was selling for a lot of money…
Lyra Valkyria’s entrance was not televised. Bayley got the better of her before the match…
3. Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria. Bayley performed a top rope elbow drop for a near fall a few minutes into the match. Bayley ran the ropes and dropped elbows on Valkyria. [C] Valkyria had Bayley down and went for a moonsault, but Bayley moved.
Valkyria went for her Last Breath submission hold, but Bayley backed her into a corner, and they ran into the referee. REF BUMP? Never mind, the referee never left his feet. Bayley hit her Bayley to Belly finisher for a near fall. Bayley avoided the Last Breath, and then Valkyria dodged the Roseplant.
Both wrestlers ended up at ringside. Bayley tossed Valkyria over the broadcast table. Bayley brought Valkyria on top of the broadcast table, but Valkyria slipped away and returned to the ring. Bayley followed and worked over Valkyria with kicks until the referee pulled her away. Valkyria shoved Bayley into the nearby ropes and then rolled her up and held her tights while getting the three count…
Lyra Valkyria beat Bayley in 11:45.
Backstage, Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable told Dragon Lee that he got by in their match by the skin of his teeth. Gable said he liked it. He told Lee to let him know if he ever wants to run it back.
Ethan Page entered the room and complained about Gable handing out title matches. Gable said Page had a chance against Lee and lost, and also lost when he had a chance against him. Gable told Page to go earn his opportunity and to stay away from him and the Intercontinental Title until he did. Lee said, “Bye-bye, amigo,” as Page left the room… [C]
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce stood on the stage and played to the fans before introducing Lola Vice as the newest member of the Raw roster. Vice walked out and swiveled her hips while Page held the contract. Vice thanked Pearce for having her and said it means everything to her. She spoke about her mother being Cuban and introducing her to fashion, while her father introduced her to martial arts. She said she doesn’t care who qualifies for Money in the Bank. She said everyone knows her fists don’t lie.
Roxanne Perez interrupted Vice and walked onto the stage. Perez said she could teach Vice a thing or two. Perez said she would show Vice why she’s at least two levels below her. Vice jawed at Perez in Spanish. Perez shoved Vice, who went for a spinning back fist, but Perez sat down to avoid it. Pearce ushered Perez to the back. Vice stood on the stage and swiveled her hips while her music played…
Paul Heyman was shown watching the segment on a backstage monitor. Bron Breakker showed up and stood next to Heyman, who said Oba Femi is still breathing, which is “bad, bad, bad for The Vision.” Breakker said he’s still breathing, which is “bad, bad, bad for everyone.” When Heyman asked about it being bad for everyone, Breakker looked him in the eye and repeated, “Everyone,” before walking away…
A graphic touted that men’s MITB winners have a 76.92 percent cash-in success rate (20 out of 26)…
Solo Sikoa’s entrance theme played while Tessitore said it was time for the entrants for the men’s MITB qualifier. Solo didn’t come out. They cut to the parking area, where Royce Keys, Bronco Nima, and Lucien Price had roughed up Solo. Keys told his allies to throw Solo in the back. Nima and Price obliged by tossing Solo in the back of their SUV, and then they drove away while Jacob Fatu, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso ran into the picture. Fatu bickered with the Usos as LA Knight showed up…
[Hour Three] [C] Tessitore said they’d seen a lot through the years, but he didn’t know if they’d seen anything like the 946. Footage aired of the 946 kidnapping Solo. Footage aired from during the break of Dominik Mysterio asking Adam Pearce if Solo had forfeited and whether that meant he would advance to Money in the Bank. Pearce yelled at Dom and told him to get to the ring…
Dragon Lee made his entrance to a flat reaction. The referee was ready to start the MITB qualifier. Adam Pearce walked out and said they advertised a Triple Threat, and there would be one with a replacement. Penta made his entrance…
4. Penta vs. Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio in a Triple Threat men’s Money in the Bank qualifier. The crowd was excited by Penta being named the replacement for Solo Sikoa. They cut to break less than two minutes into the match. [C]
Lee ran the ropes and was going for a cannonball dive on Penta, but Dom caught him with a 619-style kick. Cool spot. Moments later, Penta put Lee down with a DDT and then hit the Penta Driver on Dom for a near fall. Lee put Penta down and covered him, but Dom broke it up.
Dom performed the Three Amigos on Lee, who stuffed the last one and dropped Dom with an elbow. Lee followed up with a move and had Dom pinned, but Penta broke it up. Lee got the better of Penta and dropped him with a knee strike.
Lee went to the ropes, but Dom cut him off. Dom went for a frog splash on Penta, who put his knees up. Lee performed a Styles Clash on Dom and had him pinned, but Penta broke it up at the last moment. The crowd chanted “this is awesome” twice and then stopped. Dom hit a Mexican Destroyer on Lee on the apron. Dom hit Penta with a 619. Dom followed up with a frog splash for a near fall.
Dom removed a top turnbuckle pad and threw it to the floor in front of the referee, who didn’t chase it like a moron. Dom went to run Penta into the exposed turnbuckle, but Penta reversed it. Penta followed up with a springboard Mexican Destroyer and pinned Dom before Lee could return to the ring.
Penta defeated Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee in a Triple Threat in 18:55 to qualify for the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
The updated graphic listed Bron Breakker, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Penta in the men’s MITB match with two spots left to fill. Penta celebrated his win while the executive producer credits were shown to end the show…
Powell’s POV: The live crowd was tough all night, and it took them a while to get caught up in the main event, but they got there by the end. Overall, a decent, yet mostly forgettable show.
