MLW Fusion “Kings of Colosseum” (Episode 211)

This is the fourth episode from this taping. As I’ve noted, MLW from a production standpoint has never looked better. Joe Dombrowski and Tom Lawlor are back on commentary, and Joe said two weeks ago that this taping was a sellout.
* The episode opened with footage of the brawl last week between Killer Kross and Joshua Bishop.
1. Templario vs. Diego Hill for the MLW Middleweight Title. Templario wore mostly white with green trim today; he has the best gear! A feeling-out process at the bell. Diego hit a dropkick. He hit a Sasuke Special dive to the floor at 1:00! In the ring, Hill hit a top-rope crossbody block for a nearfall. Diego hit a modified Go To Sleep knee strike, but Diego hit a running knee, and they were both down. Diego hit a spin kick in the corner at 2:30 and a top-rope twisting Phoenix Splash onto Templario’s legs!
Templario limped out onto the at-grade ramp, and Diego joined him on the ramp. However, Templario powerbombed Diego over the ropes and back into the ring! He hit a springboard frog splash for a nearfall at 4:00. He hit a bodyslam for a nearfall and stomped on Diego. He nailed a powerslam. They fought on the ropes in the corner, and Hill nailed a jump-up Frankensteiner for a nearfall at 5:30. Diego hit a springboard fadeaway stunner for a nearfall. However, Templario hit a Roderick-style double knees to the back and scored the pin out of nowhere. Really entertaining.
Templario defeated Diego Hill to retain the MLW Middleweight Title at 6:54.
* Ikuro Kwon and Okumura approached Templario after the match, and Kwon wants a title shot! Kwon sprayed mist in Jesus’ face!
* The brackets for the 16-man Opera Cup were revealed! The notable new name here is Oddysey (formerly Odyssey Jones in WWE.)
* Rich Bocchini interviewed the purple-haired Matt Riddle, who again stated that Killer Kross “owes me, bro.”
2. Corinne Joy (w/Jazzy Yang) vs. Lady Frost. This is Corinne’s MLW debut match. Dombrowski said she has 1.2 million TikTok followers. (Is that a lot? It sure sounds like a lot!) Frost is literally two decades older! She immediately hit some clubbing blows to Joy’s chest. Corinne fired back with a shotgun dropkick. Lawlor implied that Frost is jealous of Joy’s sudden fame. Frost hit some blows and kept Joy grounded. Frost tied her in the ropes and raked at Joy’s mouth! Frost ran up Joy’s chest and stomped on her at 2:30, then hit a running knee in the corner. Frost hit a spinning Air Raid Crash for the pin! Fine for the time given.
Lady Frost defeated Corinne Joy at 3:44.
* Shotzi Blackheart ran to the ring to save Joy from a post-match beat-down.
* Josef Samael spoke backtage about his new powerhouse, Brick Savage.
* The promo for the Japanese female heel faction HATE aired.
* Donovan Dijak was giving Joshua Bishop advice for his match later. Joshua was completely unwilling to listen to anything Dijak was saying.
3. Andrew Everett vs. Big Damo (w/Josef Samael). Everett was giving up a lot of size here. The bell rang, and Everett hit a dropkick. Damo hit a running crossbody block. Everett tried some forearm strikes but they had no effect. Damo hit a choke bomb and an elbow drop. He raked at Andrew’s face and threw him into a corner. Everett hit a second-rope missile dropkick at 3:00, but Damo barely moved! Damo hit a big senton! Damo set up for an inverted DDT, but he lifted Adam and dropped him on the top of his head and pinned him. That looked more dangerous than I prefer. A complete one-sided match.
Big Damo defeated Andrew Everett at 3:33.
* “The Good Brothers” Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are defending their tag titles in Japan! They sent in a video from Japan, talking about their run in Tokyo. Gallows said he spilled his blood to win these belts, but their feud with the Skyscrapers isn’t over. “We’re coming for you!” Gallows said.
* Next week will feature LaBron Kozone vs. Joe Coffey in an Opera Cup match, plus Matt Riddle vs. Brick Savage!
4. Killer Kross vs. Joshua Bishop in a No Holds Barred match for the MLW World Title. They immediately brawled. Bishop dropped Kross snake-eyes in the corner. A turnbuckle pad had been removed! Kross pushed Bishop head-first into the exposed corner at 2:00! He did it a second time. Bishop sat up and he was heavily bleeding from his forehead. Kross immediately hit repeated punches on the wound. Bishop hit a release Exploder Suplex at 4:00, and he clotheslined Kross to the floor. They brawled at ringside. Bishop picked up a toolbox, but Kross punched him before Josh could use it as a weapon.
Kross got a trash can lid and struck Bishop across the head a few times at 6:00. Bishop sprayed a fire extinguisher in Kross’s eyes. He began removing the canvas from the hooks that hold it in place. Kross put a chair around the neck and shoved Bishop into the ring post. [C]
Back from the break, the guys were in the ring, and the canvas had been peeled up, and the wood boards were exposed. Bishop hit a back-body drop onto the bare wood beams at 9:00! Bishop struck him across the forehead with the title belt. Bishop hit a chokeslam for a nearfall. Kross hit a Saito Suplex across two open chairs at 11:00, earning a loud “Holy shit!” chant. Kross applied the “Kross Jacket” sleeper. Bishop reached for the ropes, where the belt was dangling, but he passed out, unable to get there. A very satisfying brawl.
Killer Kross defeated Joshua Bishop in a No Holds Barred match to retain the MLW World Title at 11:55.
Final Thoughts: The other week, I was critical of a really short Matt Riddle main event. This is what I had in mind. These two beat the heck out of each other. I can do without all the blood, but the crowd was into this brawl, and it certainly entertained.
Templario-Diego Hill was really entertaining and fast-paced; it felt a lot longer than it was because they got so much in. I started touting Diego Hill years ago, and it’s been awesome watching him get over in MLW and AAA.
Likewise, I’ve been praising Corinne Joy’s potential since I first saw her wrestle in fall 2025 in Action Wrestling, even though she was just 18 and only had her first match that spring. Well, in the past month alone, she has debuted in MLW, NWA, and Game Changer Wrestling. That’s a pretty awesome run.
I’ve always liked Big Damo and felt WWE never quite capitalized on his size and agility. I love seeing him back on TV, but they could have sacrificed a rookie to him. I hate seeing someone as talented as Andrew Everett get completely destroyed. A strong overall episode. I presume that concludes all the matches from that taping.
