EVE – Riot Grrrls of Wrestling (Episode 2)

* This venue is a large gymnasium or fieldhouse. The lighting is decent. The crowd was maybe 250. Two women provided commentary. Because this is the same venue for each show, they can pull matches from different events and string them together to make it look like they came from the same taping. Nina Samuels and Daniel Reeves provided commentary.
* There is a green clock in the corner of the screen, counting down from 20 minutes.
* The first match came from a taping on April 10, 2026.
1. Megan Bayne vs. Safire Reed. Like last week, it appears we joined this one minute in, as the close was already at 19:00 (counting down!) Reed hit a huracanrana that sent Bayne to the floor. Safire hit a baseball slide dropkick to the floor, and they brawled at ringside. Bayne hit a deadlift back suplex off the bottom rope back into the ring at 2:30. She hit some short-arm clotheslines and was in charge. Safire is of average size, so Megan towers over her. Megan hit some hard chops in the corner and a running kick, then a release suplex.
They again fought to the floor, and Megan held her upside down and started walking around the ring, before she slammed Reed back-first on the apron at 4:30. In the ring, Reed tried some forearm strikes, but the blows had little effect. Megan hit another release suplex and a splash in the corner, then a double-underhook suplex for a nearfall. Reed hit a Dragonscrew Legwhip and some flying forearms. Safire hit a top-rope missile dropkick for a nearfall at 6:30.
Safire hit an enzuigiri. Megan caught her on a crossbody block attempt and hit a fallaway slam, then a Claymore Kick for a nearfall. Reed hit a top-rope superplex, but Megan held on and hit a Falcon Arrow, and they were both down at 9:00. Megan hit a bodyslam, then another. Safire popped up and hit some forearm strikes! Reed hit some kicks and a jumping knee! Megan went for a tombstone piledriver, but Reed rolled her up for a nearfall. Reed hit a springboard stunner for a nearfall at 11:30.
Bayne dropped her stomach-first to the mat and hit a German Suplex, then a flying clothesline for a nearfall. Megan immediately hit an F5 faceplant for another nearfall! She was shocked at Safire’s kickout. This crowd was HOT. They fought on the ropes. Safire hit a Spider German Suplex out of the corner, then a running headbutt! Safire hit a second-rope flying headbutt for a nearfall at 13:30! Megan hit another clothesline, then a running powerbomb for the pin. I loved that. “My god, what a match, what a victory!” the male commentator said.
Megan Bayne defeated Safire Reed at 14:14 (of what was shown; the official time listed was 15:15).
* Skye Smitson (think Shayna Baszler) spoke backstage. She’s a tough bruiser. Violet Nyte appeared next to her. I haven’t seen Nyte before; she’s blonde with really short hair and looks like a punk rocker.
* The rest of this episode is from July 3, 2026. We now have two female commentators (the only real indication it’s from a different taping.)
* Back to the venue, Rhio attacked Hollie Barlow in the ring before the next match! Loud boos for this assault, and the fans chanted obscenities at Rhio! Smitson and Nyte were holding back Lana Austin, so Lana couldn’t save her tag partner. Rhio hit a package piledriver on Barlow onto the ring steps! Rhio got on the mic and told Barlow and Lana that she told them she would get them. Security helped Hollie to the back!
2. Lana Austin vs. Skye Smitson & Violet Skye. Lana jumped in the ring and brawled with the heels. The ref called for the bell, and we’re underway! Lana hit a Thesz Press on Smitson. Lana hit a DDT out of the ropes at 2:00. She hit a powerbomb for a nearfall, but Violet made the save. Violet hit a dropkick. They hit a team suplex move (I don’t think they landed exactly what they were going for), and Violet got the pin.
Skye Smitson & Violet Nyte defeated Lana Austin at 3:25 to become No. 1 contenders for the tag titles.
3) Rhio vs. Kay Lee Ray in a No. 1 contender’s match. This feud began on the debut episode. Rhio has long, purple braids, and she reportedly had a WWE tryout. (I am astonished she wasn’t signed.) A huge pop for Kay Lee! We got the bell, and there is a 30-minute countdown clock, not 20, and the commentators immediately pointed that out after I wrote it. A feeling-out process early on. They are roughly the same height, but Rhio is clearly thicker, and she easily threw Kay Lee to the mat. Ray got up, and they traded forearm strikes.
Kay Lee Ray hit a running penalty kick and a huracanrana for a nearfall at 2:30, and she locked in a leg hold around Rhio’s neck. Rhio slammed her back-first on the ring apron, and she was in charge. She hit an Exploder Suplex in the ring and a running pump kick that sent Kay Lee flying backwards into the corner. Rhio hit a basement shotgun dropkick. She hit an Irish Whip and stood over Ray and was booed. Rhio hit a bodyslam at 7:30 and made a cocky cover. Ray immediately re-applied the leg lock around the neck! The crowd taunted Rhio to tap out.
Rhio escaped and hit another shotgun dropkick to send Ray into a corner. Ray got a rollup for a nearfall. Kay Lee hit a Canadian Destroyer at 9:00, and they were both down. Kay Lee hit a second-rope twisting crossbody block, then a tornado DDT for a nearfall at 10:30. Rhio set up for a Muscle Buster, but Kay Lee escaped. Ray hit a dive through the ropes onto Rhio! Kay Lee got a nearfall back in the ring. Rhio hit an Air Raid Crash for a nearfall at 12:30. Rhio hit a swinging suplex for a nearfall, and this time she hit the Muscle Buster for a nearfall at 14:00.
Kay Lee hit a Gory Bomb-style faceplant, then a Swanton Bomb, but Rhio immediately rolled to the floor to avoid being pinned. Rhio hit a package piledriver on the ring apron! In the ring, Rhio hit a discus forearm strike at 17:00 and was loudly booed. She removed an armband and choked Kay Lee with it! The ref saw it and confiscated it. Lana Austin suddenly appeared at ringside and was being held back by security. Kay Lee dove onto Lana! Back in the ring, Rhio set up for a vertical suplex. However, Kay Lee got an inside cradle for the pin!
Kay Lee Ray defeated Rhio to become No. 1 contender at 18:33. Kay Lee will now face Miyu Yamashita!
Final Thoughts: I have thoroughly enjoyed these first two episodes. It’s a nice mix of the top UK talent and some U.S.-based stars. (The first episode had Kris Statlander and Skye Blue in action.) Rhio is really talented, and it’s great to see Kay Lee Ray back in action.
The first episode clocked in at 78 minutes, but this one was just 54 minutes.
