WWE issued the following press release on Thursday to announce the extension of its partnership with Western Australia.
August 27, 2026 – WWE, in partnership with the Western Australian Government through Tourism Western Australia, today announced a new three-year agreement that will see Perth host WWE Weekend Takeovers featuring a Premium Live Event annually from 2026 through 2028, kicking off with Wrestlepalooza: Perth on Saturday, December 12, 2026.
The first WWE Weekend Takeover under the new agreement will see RAC Arena host SmackDown® on Friday, December 11, followed by Wrestlepalooza: Perth on Saturday, December 12, and Raw® on Monday, December 14.
The announcement follows the blockbuster success of WWE’s inaugural Wrestlepalooza in 2025, headlined by John Cena and Brock Lesnar, that kicked off WWE’s partnership with ESPN.
WWE’s previous events in Perth, including Elimination Chamber: Perth® in 2024 and Crown Jewel: Perth® in 2025, collectively attracted tens of thousands of visitors from outside Western Australia and generated more than AUD $58 million for the state’s economy.
In addition to the live events, Perth will also play host to a range of WWE fan experiences throughout the city, including WWE Superstores, WWE Superstar meet-and-greets, community activities and more.
Three-event combo tickets for Wrestlepalooza: Perth, SmackDown and Raw will go on general sale Thursday, September 10 at 10am AWST.
Fans can register their interest now ahead of a pre-sale on Wednesday, September 9 from 10am AWST by visiting www.wwe.com/return-to-perth.

Speaking as an Aussie with not much money, I hate this. Great for Australia and great for Perth – but Perth is the hardest place to get to from the rest of the country if you aren’t well off. Three times now they’ve done this and I haven’t been able to go.
I hear you mate. I’m Brisbane based and I went to mania instead and it was somehow comparable $ wise which is nuts.
And WrestleMania was in Las Vegas, which has priced out many people in recent years, so that’s really saying something. I’ll never understand the new Vegas mindset. For decades, they kept the rooms and food prices cheap because they knew they’d make a killing in gambling money. They got greedy and jacked up the prices on damn near everything, and now wonder why people stopped going. Dumbest of all, they did this at a time when it’s never been easier to gamble at a local casino or even at home if you’re into sports gambling and live in a state where it’s legalized.
For the right money, TKO would even run in Saudi Arabia. Wait, they already do. Western Australia is willing to pay, and I’m guessing the government officials in your area are not. I’m not sure where you live, but I’m surprised they don’t hit your area with a live event at the very least.
