Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (Episode 32)
Taped August 15, 2026, in Torreón, Mexico, at Coliseo Centenario
Streamed August 22, 2026, on Fox in Latin America and on the WWE YouTube Channel
Corey Graves and JBL provided commentary. Rey Mysterio was not with them this week.
* The show opened with a video package of last week’s highlights.
1. Galeno vs. Omos (w/Dorian Roldan). As previously noted, I see the 6’4″ Galeno as a future main-event talent who should be protected at all costs. They traded shoulder blocks, and Omos easily tossed Galeno aside! Omos backed Galeno into a corner and hit some punches, then a hip toss and a running boot at 1:00. JBL said people really need to see Omos in person to understand how big he is. Omos hit a bodyslam. Galeno hit a DDT at 2:30.
Galeno hit a frog splash for a one-count. Omos hit a chokeslam for a nearfall. Galeno hit some forearm strikes. Omos missed a spear in the corner and fell to the floor. He pulled Galeno to the floor, and they brawled at ringside. Omos cleared the commentary table. Galeno picked up the ring steps and struck Omos with them at 5:00. Omos slammed them on Galeno’s back. The ref finally called for the bell. Who won?
Galeno vs. Omos went to a no-contest at 5:27.
* Graves wondered who could stop Omos. Omos hit a Choke Bomb onto the commentary table, and he got in the ring. Rey Mysterio came out and ordered Omos to stop. Omos picked up Rey by his throat and teased that he was going to hit a chokeslam. Dominik Mysterio urged Omos to do it, but Omos set him down. Rey got on the mic, and he suspended Omos indefinitely. Omos responded by punching Rey! Graves said, “That is going to cost Omos in spectacular fashion.” (English subtitles were displayed because this wasn’t a live episode.) [C]
* Rey Mysterio was in his office. Flammer and La Hiedra came up to him. He has a match for Flammer on Aug. 30 in Texas. Flammer wished him well in finding an opponent.
* Rey joined commentary!
2. “LWO” Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro vs. “Money Machine” Colmillo De Plata and Garra De Oro vs. “Psycho Circus” Dave the Clown and Murder Clown vs. “Los Americanos” Rayo and Bravo in a four-way to become No. 1 contenders to the AAA Tag Titles. Rayo and Cruz tied up to start, while the other six were on the apron. Cruz has really grown his hair out. Rayo dropped Wilde with a hard clothesline. Plata and Oro got in at 2:30, and they stomped on Bravo. Dave the Clown, dressed in blue, entered for the first time.
Murder Clown hit a spinning kick to the jaw. Rayo jumped on Murder Clown’s back, but MC flipped him to the mat. Everyone started brawling. Bravo and Oro traded lucha offense while everyone else fought on the floor. Plata hit a backbreaker over his knee on Bravo for a nearfall at 5:30. Money Machine worked over Bravo in their corner. Bravo hit a double suplex! Rayo got a hot tag and hit a seated senton, then a Meteora at 7:00. He hit a top-rope moonsault press on two standing opponents, then a powerbomb on Oro for a nearfall.
Dave the Clown got in and hit a double clothesline on Rayo and Bravo, then he dove through the ropes onto Money Machine. Murder Clown got both Rayo and Bravo on his shoulders and hit a Samoan Drop at 9:00! He went to the top rope and hit a crossbody block to the floor on four or five guys. (He is the size of Abyss!) Murder Clown missed a frog splash. Bravo put Murder Clown on his shoulders and did an Airplane Spin.
Wilde hit a flip dive to the floor. Cruz hit a flip dive to the floor. Wilde hit a moonsault in the ring. Cruz hit a Phoenix Splash on Rayo for a nearfall at 11:30, but Bravo made the save. Bravo was pulled off the apron, so he couldn’t tag in. Cruz accidentally kicked Wilde! Bravo tagged in, hit a flying body block, and pinned Wilde! That was a lot of fun.
“Los Americanos” Rayo and Bravo defeated “LWO” Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, “Money Machine” Colmillo De Plata and Garra De Oro, and “Psycho Circus” Dave the Clown and Murder Clown at 12:10 in a four-way to become the No. 1 contenders to the AAA Tag Titles.
* A vignette aired for El Carnicero. Based on the clips we saw, it appears this is the tall guy in the scary mask and bib overalls who has attacked Penta twice recently. He’s apparently coming Aug. 30! Carnicero translates to “Butcher” in English, and he certainly gives off a Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe. What Google says: “It can also mean a cruel or bloodthirsty person, or serve as a negative slang term for a bad surgeon.” [C]
* Yet another backstage press conference with Rey Mysterio. he reiterated that Omos has been suspended indefinitely (and the on-screen writing had indefinitely spelled incorrectly. Whoops.) He said Galeno is also out of action. He reiterated the match outcomes of the tournament to crown a new champion. What a worthless segment — these Rey press conferences are becoming comical because they happen nearly every week with nothing of value said.
* Last week, Perros Del Mal offered a spot to Penta, who was hesitant to accept. He wound up arguing with Bronco Nima. So, they are having a match now!
3. Penta vs. Bronco Nima (Penta must join Perros Del Mal if he loses). Nima came out first; he attacked Penta along the entrance aisle, then whipped Penta into the ring steps and the barricade. They got in the ring and we got a bell at 00:35. Rey returned to commentary. Bronco hit a clothesline for a nearfall and some punches. Penta hit a slingshot dropkick in the corner, then a flip dive over the ropes onto Nima on the floor at 2:30.
In the ring, Nima hit a gutbuster over his shoulder. He hit a running stomp to Penta’s sternum and a shoulder-breaker for a nearfall. Penta hit a Lungblower to the back for a nearfall at 4:30. He hit a tornado DDT for a nearfall. He hit some Buzzsaw Kicks until Nima fell to the mat. Bronco put Penta on his back, but Penta got a rollup for the flash pin! That came out of nowhere!
Penta defeated Bronco Nima at 5:29 (official time of 4:54).
* Daga, Berto and Angel Garza beat up Bronco Nima. Karmen Petrovik nailed the Petrifyer spin kick to his jaw. JBL said the Perros don’t accept failure. Penta stood on the floor and watched this all take place, not joining in, but not stopping it either. He finally got in the ring and accepted a Perros Del Mal T-shirt! However, he handed it back to Daga and tried to leave. The Perros grabbed Penta and beat him up, too.
Rey Fenix ran into the ring and attacked the Perros, but they quickly beat him up. Dragon Lee also ran in to even the odds. The Perros finally retreated. Penta got on the mic and said that Fenix and Lee are his real family. He made a challenge for a six-man tag on August 30 in Texas at AAA Ola de Calor!
Final Thoughts: I inadvertently heard a couple of days ago that Nima was being ejected from Perros Del Mal. I don’t get it. He has the size, a decent look, and I like his heel swagger. No, he’s not as smooth in the ring, but isn’t that the point of having a big group? The others could hide whatever in-ring deficiencies he has. I just think it’s a colossal mistake to eject him this soon.
The matches were all fun. It’s surreal to see how the Mexican crowds are so into Cruz Del Toro, Wilde, Bravo, and Rayo… and knowing that fans here in the U.S. would treat them like a bathroom break. No doubt, all four can really go in the ring. I’ll reiterate that Murder Clown really does have the size and build of Abyss in his prime. I guess I don’t mind the non-finish to Omos vs. Galeno, as that clearly should be saved for a PLE. I know they like to protect Omos, but I’ll also reiterate that Galeno should be protected from losses, as I see him as the future of this brand.
