MLW Underground preview: The updated lineup for Tuesday’s show on Reelz, no sign of MLW Fusion

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

The following matches are advertised for Tuesday’s Major League Wrestling Underground television show.

-Alex Hammerstone vs. Yamato for the MLW Heavyweight Championship

-Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Alex Kane

-The Billington Bulldogs vs. The FBI

-Sam Adonis vs. Calvin Tankman

Powell’s POV: MLW announced The FBI as the opponents for the Billington Bulldogs, and the Adonis vs. Tankman match since our last update. They are also advertising that Mance Warner will hunt Real1 on on Underground.

MLW Fusion once again failed to stream on Pro Wrestling TV on Thursday night. The company announced that the episode was postponed last week, but I haven’t seen any update on why the show failed to stream last night.

MLW Underground airs Tuesdays on Reelz at 9CT/10ET. My written reviews will be available immediately after the show airs. My weekly audio reviews of MLW Underground are also available for Dot Net Members (including our Patreon patrons).

  1. “The company announced that the episode was postponed last week, but I haven’t seen any update on why the show failed to stream last night.”

The optics of this is very minor league looking, and kinda disrespectful to long time fans. If you don’t have enough content, then just tell us another “season” will start again soon.

    • I don’t know what’s going on with Fusion. I asked their PR guy about it earlier and he has yet to respond. The strange thing is that they do have the content, albeit with them airing the Josh Alexander vs. Jacob Fatu match from Ric Flair’s Last Match. They still have other matches in the can from past tapings. Court Bauer said in the Deadline interview that he believes in one-hour per week. I wonder if Fusion is more trouble than it’s worth now that they have the Reelz deal? Personally, I don’t think they need two hours per week. Either way, you’re right, they shouldn’t leave their fans hanging.

  2. If that’s the case, then they should announce they’re done with Fusion, not just silently delay/drop it. Unprofessional, in my opinion
