Powell’s POV: Dynamite will be live from Jacksonville, Florida at Daily’s Place. The Blood and Guts match is the AEW version of WarGames. AEW also announced Jon Moxley vs. Yuji Nagata for the IWGP U.S. Championship for next week’s show, and the winner of tonight’s four-way tag match will challenge for the AEW Tag Titles next week. 1. This will be an interesting rating. They’re loading up with a gimmick match, Cody, Omega an Moxley in a tag match, an elimination match, and probably their most over female.

I’ll guess right at the 1.1 they did two weeks ago or maybe about 50k less than that. If this show does less than 1 million they really are in trouble.

    • I think you’re too caught up in the week to week numbers. AEW has a contract through 2023, so the odds are slim that TNT executives are even discussing the next deal at this point. Just for the sake of argument, let’s say the show takes a massive hit tonight and falls to 500,000 viewers. If the show bounces back and consistently produces numbers around or above what they are doing now, no network would care about this week’s number.
