All Elite Wrestling announced that Cody required eight stitches and suffered a costochondral separation during his match with Chris Jericho at Saturday’s Full Gear pay-per-view. The statement noted that Cody has not been cleared for in-ring action.

Powell’s POV: A costochondral separation is a rib separation. It’s unclear when he suffered that injury. The general recovery time from such an injury is listed online as three to four weeks. Cody was cut when he dove over the top rope and landed head first on the entrance ramp, which was nearly level with the ring. He bled heavily, but he was able to continue the match. Cody was not advertised for a match on Wednesday’s Dynamite television series.
