Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown Live averaged 2.122 million viewers for USA Network, according to Showbuzzdaily.com. The number was up from the 1.853 million count from last Tuesday’s edition.

Powell’s POV: Last week’s show aired opposite the MLB All-Star Game and the show two weeks ago delivered 1.890 million viewers. The hype for this week’s show was built around Daniel Bryan making a career altering announcement (he declined to speak during the show), Shane McMahon’s town hall meeting, Ember Moon teaming with a mystery partner, and a WWE Women’s Tag Title match. That’s an upgrade over previews that ask questions rather than advertise anything specifically. The July 17, 2018 edition of Smackdown delivered 2.293 million viewers.
