Seth Rollins took to social media to boast about WWE’s in-ring product. “Best pro wrestling on the planet,” Rollins wrote. “See that Cruiserweight Triple Threat? And that’s just one night, one match amongst the many. Find anyone else alive who does what I do as well as I do it as often as I do it. Ya can’t.”

Will Ospreay responded by writing, “I’m alive.” Rollins lit up Ospreay in return. “Ahhhh I’m sorry little guy,” Rollins wrote. “We already have a better version of you here and he just won his first US Title tonight (Congrats @KingRicochet). Keep working hard though buddy!”

Powell’s POV: Pro wrestling is subjective so to each his own regarding which company delivers the best wrestling. But I don’t feel that Ospreay is an inferior version of Ricochet, and Seth’s attention grabbing comments come off as patronizing. Ospreay and Ricochet are two elite talents and while both are known for performing some gravity defying moves, they are hardly interchangeable. In fact, Ospreay has toned down the number of high spots he performs and I thoroughly enjoy the style he is currently working.

  1. I don’t recall ever hearing a “BORING” chant during an Ospreay match, yet Rollins has received them more than once in the past year (remember that lousy match w/ Ambrose at TLC 2018?)

Rollins needs to check himself on that “I’m the best” talk.
