Hideo Itami reportedly made his final WWE appearance on Tuesday’s 205 Live television show. PWInsider.com and Fightful.com reported that Itami requested his release from the company and it is expected to be granted.

Powell’s POV: Itami entered the company with a lot of fanfare. Unfortunately, it never quite clicked for him in the WWE system, and injuries also worked against him. Itami has already changed his Twitter handle to the KENTA name he used in Japan.

  1. WWE is obviously not for everyone. Some of the most talented and creative wrestlers fell through the cracks. No fault on Kenta. Or even WWE in this instance. Sometimes the stars simply don’t align. I wish Kenta much success! Not like he needs it lol, but still. 🙂
