MLW announced that Rush has been pulled from the main event of the April 4 show in Queens, New York at Melrose Ballroom. Rush was scheduled to face LA Park in the show’s main event. MLW announced that Pentagon Jr. will face LA Park instead. An MLW press release stated that Rush was pulled “due to the insistence of a third party promoter.”

MLW CEO Court Bauer issued the following statement in a press release issued by MLW: “This is a match and organization Rush wanted to be a part of but sometimes politics get in the way and that’s what this comes down to: politics.”

Powell’s POV: While it’s not mentioned in the press release, ROH has a working agreement with CMLL and there’s been some buzz that they haven’t been pleased to see Rush working in MLW. That said, MLW opted against revealing the “third party promoter” in question, so nothing is official.
