The NWA unveiled its National Championship title belt in a new video that can be viewed below or at the NWA Youtube Page.
Powell’s POV: It’s quite the throwback title belt. The NWA is holding a pair of four-way matches at Sunday’s 70th Anniversary event and the winners of those matches will meet later in the night to determine the new champion. The NWA 70th Anniversary show will be held on Sunday in Nashville, Tennessee at the Nashville Fairgrounds. Join me for live coverage as the show streams on the FITE TV at 5:05 pm CT/6:05 p.m. ET.

It is quite a nice old school vibe, but I HATE that there is no stitching around the edges like the original belt. Plus, it looks very lopsided. The NXT North American title looks so much better being an old school feel. I’m not sure who made the belt, but they could have gotten someone better. That being said, Billy Corgan owning the NWA is the best thing to happen to the NWA in at least 3 decades.
Thumbs down for me, but it might look better when it’s actually being worn. Right now it looks like a toy belt. Really wish they had gone with the look of the one that Nikita retired.
