The GLOW series on Netflix earned an Emmy award nomination for outstanding comedy series. GLOW’s Betty Gilpin also scored a nominated for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series for her role as Debbie Eagan. Read the full list of nominees at EW.com.

Powell’s POV: WWE did not get any of the Emmy nominations they were gunning for. GLOW received eight additional nominations in various categories. The first season of GLOW was solid. I will be writing a full review of season two at some point, but I will simply say that I enjoyed it more than season one. Gilpin is very good in her role, but Marc Maron continues to be perfect as the crotchety Sam Sylvia.
